Ingolstadt, Germany – Audi has launched car manufacturing operations in Indonesia, where it will make the Audi A4 and A6 in Jakarta. The assembly is in cooperation with Indomobil/Garuda Mataram Motor. Around 2,700 cars will be assembled by 2o15 for the Indonesian market. The cars will initially be sold through three Audi sites in the country, with plans to expand the dealer network. The Indonesian car market is forecast to grow by 15 per cent this year, while sales in the premium segment are expected to double over the next five years.
